Hello, I’m katsuya, Monaca product engineer.

Today, I wanna to tell about event named GMIC that our team joined!

* What’s GMIC

GMIC is conference event for mobile device, application at China national convention center in China, Beijing.
There are many many things!
Booth for service, speaking of guest, session of startups!!
From Japan, startups such as us, and big company such as GREE, DeNA.
In 9/May – 11/May, it’s information technology hottest days in China with so many many kind of language people!!!

* G-STARTUP Pitch

We had joined session called G-STARTUP that is one of them.
One of our team and other startups explained own service and competived it.
In this, Tanaka, Monaca team manager, explained our service at 3 minutes.

Many many people came our booth!
The accident came! Pamphlet is less than people that came our booth!
Anyway, Many people interasted to Monaca.
Volunteer translated Chinese between Japanese, because we could explained Monaca to people in China.
We’ve excited to think for Monaca Chinese version.

* What I think at end of this event

Global people’s thinking are so similar.
One that want to create own app so easy.
One that be worried with by fragmentation of mobile devices.
One that student doesn’t know cloud IDE.
I want to see the future that they uses Monaca.

It is very difficult for non-English speaking people to do a pitch in English-speaking country. We have attended SFNewTech Japan Night held at downtown San Francisco, did 5 minutes pitch, and 5 minutes Q&As.

Actually it was my (Masahiro Tanaka’s) first time doing a pitch in the United States, I was very proud of being elected as one of the start-ups for SFNewTech Japan Night.

I and Katsuya demonstrated Monaca service. We simply made a sample application for Japan Night, and demonstrated that is is very easy to develop and deploy the application. Yes, Monaca is a native application development platform, converting your project to Android and iOS operating system is very straightforward.

We have been looking for another opportunity to present Monaca at worldwide. If you have any information, please give us feedbacks!

Finally, many additional functions are coming soon. Stay tuned!!

The final qualifying round was held in Tokyo last March 30, 2012. The companies that will be participating in SF NewTech Japan Night has been determined. Six start-up company aiming to expand overseas made a presentation in English for 5 minutes. Aside from that, the English question and answer from the audience and judges was also delivered.
Monaca team was very lucky to be chosen as one of the six companies that will present on the finals to be held in San Francisco on April 25!

Monaca is a developing platform aiming to allow people to develop applications for iPhone and Android.
We are really looking forward to hear ideas and opinions to help us improve the quality of Monaca’s service.
